Talking about the Australian Mosaic is an exciting new book for teaching about Australia to intermediate level students of English. It may also be used in predeparture courses for students preparing for study abroad or homestay programmes.

The book allows teachers of reading, writing, listening, speaking, or the four skills the flexibility to choose from a large number of activities to suit their teaching situation.

The Teacher's Manual offers lesson plans for skills teachers for each and every chapter, and supports the teacher's need for flexibility by also providing a large variety of extension activities, photocopiable activities, and a list of suggested support materials such as links, poems, songs, stories and articles, and movies.

The contents include:

  • About Nature
  • The Aboriginal Heritage
  • Multicultural Australia
  • Economy and Politics
  • Education
  • Ozzie Summer
  • Tucker
  • Volunteering
  • Australian Families
  • Understanding Strine
